history

Finds from the Mesolithic have been made several times in the corridor , which indicate that humans stayed here continuously for a long time in the Mesolithic.

The place is for the first time in a deed of wild animals from Emperor Otto III. for Bishop Heinrich von Würzburg, issued May 1, 1000, named as "Einigenouua"; here stood as a distinctive landscape point or border tree "Alberichsdale", probably a large pine (where Alberich refers to a proper name and Dale stands for the word Föhre). From time immemorial, Aidenau belonged to the parish district of St. Kilian zu Geslau of the diocese of Würzburg (from 1528 a Protestant parish under margravial church sovereignty) and, like almost all places in the parish, as the Brandenburg Colmberger Urbar from 1361/1364 shows, had to perform the so-called Bucher services , ie the Aidenau farmers had to work several days a year at the Fronhof zu Buch am Wald . The 13 Aidenau farmers who sat on 14 properties were all Brandenburg subjects. Some of them owned several fiefs ; In the 14th century the entire place consisted of 20 fiefdoms and a farmstead. Within the Brandenburg Colmberger Fraisch , the village belonged to the Ehaft in Buch am Wald; the village and community rulership also lay with the Vogtamt Colmberg . In 1608, the 16-point report of the Colmberg office says that ten margravial "teams", ie subject families, are sitting in Aidenau; a 1681 report by the same office speaks of twelve teams. A later addition mentions 13 teams after two farms were divided between two teams each. All subjects had to pay their taxes to the Colmberg caste office .

Towards the end of the Old Kingdom there were 13 properties in Aidenau (eight half courtyards, four Köblergüter and a Wirts-Köblergut). A shepherd's house, a sheep barn and a crushing house were maintained across the village . There were 14 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Aidenau was assigned to the Geslau tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Geslau founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Aidenau was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Gunzendorf . On January 1, 1972, Aidenau was incorporated into Geslau as part of the regional reform .

In 2000, when it was first mentioned a thousand years ago, an "Kaiser Otto Oak" was planted at the village pond.
