Lauterbach is a part of the community Geslau in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Lauterbachgraben flows through the village, which feeds the Lauterbacher Weiher and is a right tributary of the Sulzach, which in turn is a right tributary of the Kreuthbach. Approx. The Buch Forest is 1.25 km to the southwest, and the Buchklinge corridor area is approx. 0.5 km to the southeast .

Communal roads lead to Geslau (2.3 km northwest) and Oberndorf (2.2 km west) to the district road AN 7 , to AN 5 near Buch am Wald (1.6 km south) and to a communal road (0.8 km north-east) ), which leads to Kreuth (1 km north) or also to AN 5 near Hürbel (0.7 km south-east).

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Colmberg from 1608, 9 teams are listed for Lauterbach, all of which had the caste office Colmberg as landlord . The High Court exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg . In the 16-point report of the Colmberg Oberamt from 1681, the number of teams had increased to 11.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 13 properties in Lauterbach (1 courtyard, 10 half courtyards, 2 Köbler estates ). The High Court and the village and community rule exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg. All properties had the Colmberg caste office as landlord. In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the municipal edict , Lauterbach was assigned to the Schwabsroth tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Schwabsroth, founded in 1810 . On January 1, 1972 Lauterbach was incorporated into Geslau as part of the regional reform .
