Oberndorf is a part of the community Geslau in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The village lies on the Grundgraben, which is a right tributary of the Sulzach, which in turn is a right tributary of the Kreuthbach. Approx. The Ameisberg rises 0.5 km south of the village ( 510 m above sea level ). Approx. The forest areas Seeschschlag and Prell are 1 km to the west .
The district road AN 7 leads to Oberbreitenau (1.6 km south-west) and past Reinswinden to Schwabsroth (1.7 km north). Communal roads lead to Lauterbach (2.2 km east) and Morlitzzüge (1.5 km south).

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Colmberg from 1608 16 teams are recorded for Oberndorf: 14 properties were subordinate to the Colmberg caste office and 2 properties to the Jochsberg Vogtamt . The High Court exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg . In the 16-point report of the Colmberg Oberamt from 1681, 17 teams are listed for Oberndorf, 15 of which were subordinate to the Colmberg caste office.
At the end of the 18th century there were 20 properties in Oberndorf. The High Court and the village and community rule exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg. All properties had the Principality of Ansbach as the landlord (Kastenamt Colmberg: 1 farm, 4 half farms, 1 estate, 8 Köblergüter , 1 Söldengütlein , 1 Leerhaus ; Vogtamt Jochsberg: 2 Köblergüter; Vogtamt Colmberg: 2 Köblergüter; the dues of these two subjects went to the Church Geslau). In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). There were 19 subject families at that time. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .
As part of the municipal edict , Oberndorf was assigned to the Schwabsroth tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Schwabsroth, founded in 1810 . On January 1, 1972, Oberndorf was incorporated into Geslau as part of the regional reform .
