Reinswinden (formerly also called Reinhartswinden ) is a district of the Geslau community in the Ansbach district ( Middle Franconia ).

The hamlet is located on the southern edge of the Frankenhöhe . Approx. The Seeschschlag forest is 0.5 km to the southwest . The district road AN 7 leads to Oberndorf (1 km south) or to Schwabsroth (0.8 km northeast). A communal road crosses State Road 2250 to Gunzendorf (2 km north).

history

From the place-name broadcast "–winds" one can conclude that the place is one of the Wendish settlements that were planned by the authorities in large numbers in the Middle Ages.

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Colmberg from the year 1608 6 teams are listed for Reinswinden: 2 properties were subordinate to the Colmberg caste office , 1 property Sebastian von Müssenlohe zu Burgthann , 2 properties the hospital of the imperial city Rothenburg and 1 property the Juliusspital Wurzburg . The High Court exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg . In the 16-point report of the Colmberg Oberamt from 1681, 6 teams are also listed for Reinswinden, but with changed manorial conditions: 3 properties were subordinate to the Colmberg caste office, 2 properties of the imperial city of Rothenburg and 1 property of the Lords of Crailsheim zu Rügland .

Also towards the end of the 18th century there were 6 properties and a community shepherd's house in Reinswinden. The High Court and the village and community rule exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg. The landlords were still the Kastenamt Colmberg (1 courtyard, 2 Köblergut ), the manor Rügland (1 courtyard) and the imperial town of Rothenburg (1 courtyard, 1 Köblergut). At that time there were 7 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Reinswinden was assigned to the Schwabsroth tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Schwabsroth, founded in 1810 . On January 1, 1972, Reinswinden was incorporated into Geslau as part of the regional reform .

• House No. 3: Stable house from 1817 with a solid ground floor and a half-timbered living area with an attractively proportioned gable. Inscribed 1817 on the wedge of the profiled door frame .
