history
In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Colmberg from 1608, 20 teams were recorded for Gunzendorf: 7 properties were subordinate to the Colmberg caste office and 13 properties to the Hohenlohe office of Schillingsfürst . The High Court exercised the Vogtamt Colmberg . In the 16-point report of the Colmberg Oberamt from 1681, the manorial conditions for Gunzendorf are unchanged.
At the end of the 18th century there were 30 properties in Gunzendorf. The high court and the village and community rulership continued to exercise the Vogtamt Colmberg. The landlords were the Kastenamt Colmberg (1 courtyard, 6 Köblergüter ) and the Amt Schillingsfürst (23 properties: 4 half- courtyards, 9 estates, 1 Mühlgut, 1 half Söldengut , 1 half an empty house , 1 three-quarter house, 5 half houses, 1 quarter house). In addition to the property there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, poor house). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .
In 1806 Gunzendorf came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, Gunzendorf was assigned to the Geslau tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Geslau founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) Gunzendorf became an independent rural community, to which Aidenau , Neumühle and Steinach am Wald belonged. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the district court Leutershausen and the financial administration of the Colmberg Rent Office . From 1862 to 1879 Gunzendorf was administered by the district office of Ansbach , from 1880 by the district office of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed the district of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Leutershausen until 1879, since 1880 district court Rothenburg ob der Tauber . The financial management was taken over in 1880 by Rentamt Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed Finanzamt Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1920 ). The municipality had an area of 8.273 km².
In the course of the regional reform , Gunzendorf was incorporated into Geslau on January 1, 1972.
