At the end of the 18th century there were 30 properties in Gunzendorf. The high court and the village and community rulership continued to exercise the Vogtamt Colmberg. It also belonged to the rural community Geslau founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) Gunzendorf became an independent rural community, to which Aidenau , Neumühle and Steinach am Wald belonged. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the district court Leutershausen and the financial administration of the Colmberg Rent Office . From 1862 to 1879 Gunzendorf was administered by the district office of Ansbach , from 1880 by the district office of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed the district of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1938 ).
