Stettberg is a part of the community Geslau in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The church village is located on the Ödenbach, which is a left tributary of the Kreuthbach, which in turn is a right tributary of the Altmühl . Approx. The Rabenbuck rises 0.5 km to the northwest, the Rothfeld lies in the northeast , and the Dürrfeld in the east .

Municipal roads lead to State Road 2250 (0.9 km south), to Binzwangen (2.3 km east), to Cadolzhofen to the district road AN 8 (1.5 km north) and also to AN 8 at Burghausen (2.5 km north) . The Franconian Marienweg runs through the village .

In the 16-point report of the Colmberg Oberamt from 1681, 25 teams are listed for Stettberg: 12 properties were subordinate to the Colmberg caste office, 2 properties to the Ansbach court caste office, 2 properties to the Sulz monastery administration office, 1 property to the Jochsberg bailiff, 7 properties to the imperial city of Rothenburg and 1 property to the Herrieden monastery chapter in Eichstatt . It also belonged to the rural community of Binzwangen, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Stettberg became an independent rural community. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the district court Leutershausen and the financial administration of the Colmberg Rent Office . From 1862 to 1879 Stettberg was administered by the district office of Ansbach , from 1880 by the district office of Rothenburg ob der Tauber (renamed the district of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Leutershausen until 1879, since 1880 district court Rothenburg ob der Tauber .
