In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Leutershausen from 1681 3 teams are listed for Berbersbach, all of which had the Vogtamt Jochsberg as landlord . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach municipal bailiff office in Leutershausen .

At the end of the 18th century there were 5 properties in Berbersbach. The high court continued to exercise the Leutershausen District Bailiff's Office. The village and township government had the pen Office Ansbach held. All properties had the principality of Ansbach as landlord (Vogtamt Jochsberg: 1 courtyard, 1 half courtyard, 1 Köblergut, Rufenmühle ; Ansbach Abbey: Birkenmühle ). In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the municipal edict, Berbersbach was assigned to the Buch am Wald tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Buch am Wald, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) Berbersbach was re-grouped into the newly formed rural community Hagenau . On January 1, 1974, this was incorporated into Buch am Wald as part of the regional reform .
