Schweikartswinden is a district of the municipality of Buch am Wald in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

Immediately to the east of the hamlet rises the Rothbach, a right tributary of the Gastenfelder Bach, which merges in Haugenau with the Froschbächlein to the Hagenbach, a right tributary of the Altmühl . To the west is the Vordere and Hintere Grasbühl, approx. 0.75 km southwest of the Griesfeld.

A community road leads to Gaishof (1.2 km north). Another community connecting road leads to another community connecting road (0.7 km south) between Stilzendorf (0.3 km east) and Schafhof (1 km west) or to the district road AN 5 (0.5 km east) between Stilzendorf (1 km south) ) and Gastenfelden (1.7 km northeast).

history

From the place-name broadcast - winds , one can conclude that the place is one of the Wendish settlements that were planned by the authorities in large numbers in the Middle Ages.

In 1802 there were five subject families. Two had the imperial city of Rothenburg as landlord and three the Hohenlohe office of Schillingsfürst .

As part of the municipality Edict (early 19th century.) Schweikart winches was the control district and Rural community guest Felden assigned. In the course of the regional reform , this was incorporated into Buch am Wald on January 1, 1974.

The inhabitants of the Evangelical-Lutheran denomination were originally parish to St. Bartholomäus (Diebach) , since 1821 they are parish to St. Maria Magdalena (Gastenfelden) . The inhabitants of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish after the exaltation of the cross (Schillingsfürst) .
