history

The place was formerly known as "Stulzingsdorf" and "Stilzesdorf".

At the end of the 18th century there were 22 subject families. The landlords were Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst (21) and the imperial city of Rothenburg (1).

In 1806 Stilzendorf came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century) the tax district and the rural community Stilzendorf were formed, to which the places Altengreuth , Leipoldsberg , Neureuth , Obermühle , Schorndorf and Untermühle belonged. Its administration and jurisdiction were subordinate to the Schillingsfürst Lordship Court (from 1840 Schillingsfürst Regional Court ). After 1861, Bronnenhaus was changed from Schillingsfürst to Stilzendorf. The municipality of Stilzendorf had an area of 8.827 km². In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Schillingsfürst on January 1, 1972.
