Neureuth is a district of the town of Schillingsfürst in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The hamlet is located in the valley on the Steinbach, which flows together with the Erlbacher Mühlbach, which is a right tributary of the Altmühl . Approx. one kilometer north is the Langer First ( 498 m above sea level ), about 1 km east of the Steinberg ( 500 m above sea level ) and about 1 km south of the Schwander Berg ( 503 m above sea level ). Approx. 0.75 km to the west is the Strohbrunnen corridor.

The state road 2246 leading to Altengreuth (1.5 km south-west) and on Steinbächlein over after Leutershausen (km east 6). The district road AN 34 leads to Schwand (1 km south).

history

According to a listing from 1830, the place belonged to an extensive forest area between Leutershausen and Sulz Monastery with the main town Brunst, called "the Brünst" or "the Brunst", which has been cleared in places since the Middle Ages . The Brünst was known for its good cattle breeding; their 22 villages were considered rich.

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Office of Brunst from 1608, 9 teams are listed for Neureuth, all of which had the Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürstischen office of Schillingsfürst as landlord . The high court exercised the office in ardor. In the 16-point report of the Leutershausen Office from 1681, the number of teams and the manorial conditions are unchanged for Neureuth. The high court exercised the office of Leutershausen.

In 1801 there were 11 properties in the village, all of which were subject to the Oberamt Schillingsfürst.

With the community edict (early 19th century), Neureuth was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Stilzendorf . In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Schillingsfürst on January 1, 1972.
