The Schillingsfürst district court was an older Bavarian district court that existed from 1840 to 1879 and was based in Schillingsfürst in what is now the district of Ansbach .

The district court Schillingsfuerst bordered to the north by the district court of Rothenburg , to the east by the district court Leutershausen , on the south by the district court Feuchtwangen and the east by the district court Herrieden and the west by the Württemberg Oberamt Crailsheim .

history

With the formation of the kingdoms of Bavaria and Württemberg in 1806, the Principality of Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst was mediatized . The possessions around the exclave Schillingsfürst came to Bavaria, the princes became Imperial Councilors of the Crown of Bavaria .

In the year 1818 the noble Fürstlich Hohenlohe'sche Herrschaftsgericht Schillingsfürst was founded. In 1840 this was dissolved in the course of the administrative reorganization of Bavaria and the regional court Schillingsfürst was established in its place, which was originally congruent with the rulership court.

The Schillingsfürst district court was 1.06 square miles . There were 40 localities: 1 market, 2 parish villages , 3 church villages , 6 villages , 10 hamlets and 18 wastelands . There were a total of 7 municipalities: 1 market municipality and 6 rural municipalities. In 1840 it had 3380 inhabitants, of which 582 were Catholics and 2798 were Protestants. In 1852 there were 3578 inhabitants.

In 1858 the municipalities of Brunst, Eckartsweiler, Erlach and Hagenau were added from the regional court of Leutershausen , the municipalities of Erzberg, Gailnau, Gailroth, Oestheim, Wettringen and Wörnitz from the regional court of Rothenburg and the municipalities of Dombühl, Sulz Abbey and Wildenholz from the regional court of Feuchtwangen , making a total of 21 There were rural communities: Bellershausen , Bockenfeld , Bottenweiler , Brunst , Diebach , Dombühl , Eckartsweiler , Erlach , Erzberg , Faulenberg , Gailnau , Gailroth , Gastenfelden , Hagenau , Sulz Monastery , Oestheim , Schillingsfürst , Stilzendorf , Wettringen , Wildenholz , Wörnitz .

From 1862 the Schillingsfürst regional court was only responsible for jurisdiction. The administration was taken over by the newly created district office Rothenburg ob der Tauber .
