history
In the pre-Reformation period the place name was "Bedlinhusen". At that time there was already the Laurentiuskirche , originally a branch of Frankenau, today part of the Catholic parish of the Cross in Schillingsfürst . In 1799 the place had 42 households, all of which belonged to the Hohenlohe Oberamt Schillingsfürst.
In 1806 Bellershausen came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century) the tax district Bellershausen was formed, to which the places Faulenberg , Neumühle , Neuweiler , Pfeffermühle and Wohnbach belonged. A little later, the rural community Bellershausen was formed, to which the new and pepper mill belonged. Its administration and jurisdiction were subordinate to the Schillingsfürst Lordship Court (from 1840 Schillingsfürst Regional Court ). The municipality had an area of 4,369 km². In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Diebach on May 1, 1978.
