Arzbach is a district of the municipality of Wörnitz in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The village is on the Arzbacher Mühlbach ( called Waldhausener Mühlbach in the lower reaches ), a right tributary of the Wörnitz . Approx. The Breitfeld lies 0.5 km to the northwest.

The district road AN 16 leads past Harlang and via Bastenau to Wörnitz to state road 2419 (4.5 km northeast) or to Grüb (1.5 km west). The AN 27 leads to Steinbach an der Holzecke (0.7 km south). A community road leads to Erzberg (0.8 km east).

history

In 1406 the imperial city of Rothenburg bought this place from the Hohenlohe family . In 1799 there were 10 to 12 community rights in the village, which were subject to Rothenburg.

With the community edict (early 19th century), Arzbach was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Erzberg . In the course of the regional reform , Arzbach was incorporated into Wörnitz on November 1, 1971.
