Rammersdorf (colloquially: Ram ə schdorf ) is a district of the city of Leutershausen in the district of Ansbach in the administrative district of Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Kümmelbach , a left tributary of the Altmühl . This brook also feeds the Leutershauser Weiher, which are located immediately to the west of the village. The Schloßbuckfeld is located about half a kilometer southeast. Immediately to the south is the frog mill . The district road AN 23 leads to Winden or past the Froschmühle to Leutershausen.

Name interpretation

According to the oldest evidence, the place name is interpreted as "to the village of Romung / Ramung", where Romung / Ramung is probably the name of the founder of the settlement.

history

"Romungesdorf" was first mentioned in 1293 in the book of eight of the Rothenburg ob der Tauber regional court . In 1336 "Romungestorf" appears as the seat of the knight Fritz Vogel zu Dornberg . In 1388 the knight Peter Vogel zu Vogelsburg (= Rammerdorf Castle) is named, who was a feudal man from Würzburg . A little later, Rammersdorf passed to the Geissendorfer brothers. These had to cede the Vogelsburg in 1390 to the Würzburg court master Arnold Hiltmar . He acquired Burkhart of Seckendorf-Jochsberg the castle, who as at April 6, 1390 burg Gräfliches received fiefdom. 1417 Schloss Rammersdorf appears in a list of the castles of the Graisbach district court .

On January 1, 1571, the Brandenburg-Ansbach Chamber of Commerce Veit Asmus von Eyb zu Vestenberg acquired the Rammersdorf / Vogelsburg manor from Martin Wolf von Redwitz , who had bought it shortly before from his brother-in-law Hans Zobel von Giebelstadt . In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Office of Leutershausen from 1608, it is stated that apart from a sheep farm, no farm or estate belongs to the castle. In addition to the castle and the sheep farm, the 16-point report from 1681 now mentions a farmhouse belonging to the castle. The palace was demolished under Albrecht Ludwig von Eyb and rebuilt by palace architect Johann Georg Schmidt from 1713 to 1715 according to plans by the Ansbach and later Eichstätt court architect Gabriel de Gabrieli . The Vettersche Oberamtsbeschreibung from 1732 speaks of an “adelich Eybisch newly built little castle”, which included a farmhouse, a goalkeeper's apartment and a sheep farm “outside on the same level”. The residents were parish to St. Peter in Leutershausen and exempt from tithe . The bailiwick of inner Etters was right, except for Etters and the Fraisch , the Brandenburg-Ansbach town bailiwick of Leutershausen was entitled . Nothing about that changed until the end of the Old Kingdom .The manor Rammersdorf recently had manorial claims in Mittelbach (3 properties), Mittelramstadt (12) and Winden (6). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice Office Leutershausen and Chamber Office Colmberg .

As part of the community edict, Rammersdorf was assigned to the Leutershausen tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community Mittelramstadt founded in 1810 . From 1820 there was a first class patrimonial court of those von Eyb , to which five landholders were subordinate in Rammersdorf ; In 1838 the von Eyb family renounced it, but it was not until 1842 that King Ludwig I approved the assignment of the patrimonial court. On January 1, 1972, Rammersdorf was incorporated into Leutershausen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Today the forest enterprise is the most important source of income for the von Eybschen property in Rammersdorf. An oak forest is used as the "RuheForst Frankenhöhe - Leutershausen" for forest burials .

On July 10, 2015, a rampage occurred in the village in which a 72-year-old cyclist in Rammersdorf and an 82-year-old woman in neighboring Tiefenthal were shot.
