The district road AN 36 leads to Windshofen (0.5 km east) or Gindelbach (0.4 km north). A community road leads to Vorderbreitenthann to state road 1066 (2.3 km southwest).

history

Westheim was first mentioned in a document from the year 899, in which it is confirmed that Emperor Arnulf with the Eichstätter Prince-Bishop Erchanbald u. a. also exchanged goods in Westheim. In 1511 the Lords of Mörnsheim sold their share (2 farms and 3 estates) to the Eichstätter Prince-Bishop Gabriel von Eyb . In addition to the Hochstift Eichstätt ( Kastenamt Herrieden ), the landlords were also the Margravial Stiftsamt Feuchtwangen and the lords of Wollmershausen zu Amlishagen (an estate).

Westheim was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 6 properties. The village and community rulership was held by the Eichstatt caste office in Herrieden. The landlords were the Kastenamt Herrieden (3 farms, 2 Gütlein) and the Kastenamt Colmberg (1 Gütlein). Nothing in these conditions changed until the end of the Old Kingdom . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Westheim was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Weinberg . As part of the regional reform , Westheim was incorporated into Aurach on May 1, 1978.
