Gindelbach is a district of the municipality of Aurach in the district of Ansbach ( Middle Franconia ).

geography

The village is located on the Wieseth and the Hausbach, which flows into the Wieseth as a right tributary in the village, in a flat, hilly plain consisting of grassland with individual trees and arable land. Approx. The Pfarrholz lies 0.5 km to the northeast, and the Hafnerberg rises approx. 1 km to the southwest ( 505  m above sea level ). The district road AN 36 leads to Westheim (0.4 km south) or after Weinberg to state road 1066 (1.6 km north-west). A residential path leads to the protection mill (0.1 km west).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 845 in a document in which Emperor Ludwig II confirmed that the Herrieden monastery had acquired properties in "Ginwag in Sualafeldgau".

Gindelbach was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of three properties. The landlords were the Feuchtwangen monastery administration office (1 yard) and the Herrieden caste office in Eichstätt (1 yard, 1 estate). In 1790 only one property was mentioned for the Eichstätt Monastery, in 1800 there were three. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Gindelbach was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Weinberg . In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Aurach on May 1, 1978.
