Gickelhausen is a part of the municipality of Adelshofen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies on the Gickelhäuser Bach, a right tributary of the Tauber . Approx. The Meckenhag forest area lies 0.5 km north of the village, and the Barenholz forest area approx. 1 km southwest. Otherwise the place is surrounded by fields.

The district road AN 32 leads to Großharbach (2.2 km northwest) or to Oberscheckenbach to state road 2419 (2 km east). The AN 8 leads to Ruckertshofen (1.4 km south). A community road leads to Neustett to the AN 31 (2.7 km to the west).

history

In 1800 there were 13 households in town, all of which were subject to the imperial city of Rothenburg .

With the community edict (early 19th century) Gickelhausen was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Adelshofen.
