Woven Hand (also known as Wovenhand ) is an American band. It was started during the 2001 sabbatical year of 16 Horsepower as a side project of 16 Horsepower singer David Eugene Edwards . Similar to 16 Horsepower, she moves musically in the field of alternative country or Americana and roots music . Initially, Edwards did not refer to Woven Hand as a band, but as a solo project with changing guest musicians. In the meantime, however, Woven Hand has grown into a band in the true sense of the word and is also called that. Current regular members include singer and multi-instrumentalist David Eugene Edwards (DEE), musicians Ordy Garrison (drums), Chuck French (guitar) and bassist Neil Keener.

history

When Woven Hand gave their first concerts, the band consisted of a duo of David Eugene Edwards and Daniel McMahon. Since the founding, however, the band members have changed constantly. The band often performed in groups of four, but also in twos or threes. For the tour to publish Mosaic , Pascal Humbert joined the tour cast of van Laerhoven / Garrison. Humbert was one of the three former members of 16 Horsepower . Since the summer of 2007, Woven Hand's set list has also included songs with which 16 Horsepower has already performed, including bandoneon pieces such as American Wheeze , Poor Mouth or Harm's Way . With the departure of Pascal Humbert after the album "The Threshing Floor" an interesting musical development of the band took place with an amalgam of alternative country, Americana, rock, metal and punk.
