Wustuben is a district of the Oberkotzau market in the Hof district in Upper Franconia .

The place Wustuben was called Gottwaldsreuth in the Middle Ages and belonged to the sphere of influence of the von Kotzau family .

At the entrance to the village there is a late medieval stone cross with heavily weathered side arms and incised pincers . It is a designated architectural monument . Legends tell of the killing of a farmer or shepherd at the site of the cross, whose original location was probably further to the west.

Wustuben is connected to the connecting road between the main town of Oberkotzau and the Hof district of Eppenreuth via a spur road . The Untreusee is in the immediate vicinity . The lake path leads past Wustuben.
