Eppenreuth is a district in the southern district of the independent city of Hof in Bavaria .
location
The village is located in the west of the Untreusee . A secondary road in Oberkotzau as Konrad Reutherstraße , begins at Wustuben passes between Konradsreuth and yard in the federal highway 2 opens, leads through.
history
In the Middle Ages the place consisted of two villages. In the north was Seifriedsreuth with a knight seat of the Rabensteiner zu Döhlau . This place name was no longer used after the Thirty Years War. The owners of the manor belonged to the Vogtland knighthood . In 1390, Eppenreuth was owned by the Rabensteiners, the Hofer Spital , the Clariss Monastery of Hof and Franz von Weißelsdorf . The von Zedtwitz , Kotzau , von der Grün , Eckersberg , Endtern, Pühel families and the Bohemian exiles Ratisborsky von Sechzebus and Gellhorn later owned individual farms.
Architectural monument is a four-sided courtyard with a stable house and ancillary building.
Before it was incorporated into the city of Hof, Eppenreuth formed the municipality of Martinsreuth in the district of Hof together with Martinsreuth , Glänzlamühle, Wustuben and Lausenhof .
