The Enoch-Widman-Viertel is a district in the Ost district in the independent city of Hof in Bavaria .
location
The quarter extends below the Theresienstein and the Labyrinthberg. The Eichelberg residential area belongs to the district.
history
The Enoch-Widman quarter is named after the local Enoch-Widman-Straße after Enoch Widmann , the former rector of the Hof high school. The street has existed with this name since 1911.
The development of the quarter consists mainly of villas and single-family houses. In the east is the campus with the two universities.
Public facilities
On the campus are the University of Applied Sciences and the University of General Internal Administration , a cafeteria and the Institute for Information Systems and the Institute for Water, which is still under construction. In 2017 the digital start-up center "Einstein 1" was opened.
