Hofeck is a district in the north district in the independent city of Hof in Bavaria . The district consists of Hofeck and the Ziegelacker residential area.
location
Hofeck is located in the northwest of the city of Hof on the left side of the hall. The districts of Unterkotzau , Neuhof , Hohensaas and Vogelherd are adjacent.
history
The formerly independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Hof on April 1, 1906.
Attractions
The Hofeck Castle was built in 1238 by the bailiff of Weida. In 1972 it was renovated by Hans Vießmann . Today you can rent the castle for conferences.
The Luther Church is the church in the district. It has a tower and an octagonal nave.
Public facilities
The voluntary fire brigade in Hof has a fire fighting group stationed in station 4. There is a primary school and a middle school in Hofeck.
