Hohensaas is a district in the West district in the independent city of Hof in Bavaria .

The place name goes back to a hill in the urban area, the Hohe Saas.

history

Hohensaas was part of the municipality of Wölbattendorf until it was incorporated into Hof on July 1, 1972 .

Hohensaas is home to a large industrial area with mainly car dealerships and also wholesalers such as Metro.

There is an Asian buffet restaurant with 450 seats.

Public facilities

In Hohensaas, the Bundeswehr barracks are the only barracks of the Bundeswehr in Upper Franconia. In addition, the police inspection, the traffic police inspection and the criminal police inspection are housed together on the Hohensaas.
