Anspann is a district in the southern district of the independent city of Hof in Bavaria .

Location and history

The district is located in the southwest of Hof next to the districts of Krötenbruck , Moschendorf , Bahnhofsviertel and Geigengrund .

Anspann was part of the former community of Moschendorf until it was incorporated in 1906.

Attractions

Heinrich von Stephan monument

At the corner of Ernst-Reuter-Strasse and Stephanstrasse there is a monument to Heinrich von Stephan , the founder of the Universal Postal Union .

Public facilities

At the Q-Bogen, the entrance to the Mitte district, there is a youth center to which a youth hostel is attached.

Shopping

There are several supermarkets, car dealerships and a hardware store in Anspann. The Kaufland branch is a shopping center with many other stores such as a hair salon, a florist, a baker, a butcher and a branch of a clothing manufacturer.

traffic

There are the bus stops Anspann / Klinikum, Stephanstraße, Hans-Böckler-Straße and Viceburgstraße in the district. Pedestrians and cyclists can get to the main station via the Luftsteg, a footbridge over the station area.
