The Münsterviertel is a district in the West district in the independent city of Hof in Bavaria .

Location and history

The district is located in the west of the Hof urban area. The residential area Rosenbühl belongs to the district.

After the development in the Wilhelminian era, further areas were developed in the 1950s. In the next few years, a residential area with 55 places is to be built on Rosenbühl.

Attractions

The Hofer Bismarck Tower was built on Rosenbühl in 1914. A Bismarck oak was planted as early as 1885 on the occasion of Otto von Bismarck's 70th birthday . He also became an honorary citizen of the city.

Public facilities

In the school center below the Bismarck Tower are the Max-Reger-Schule (branch school of the Eichendorffschule), the Realschule Hof , the Johann-Christian-Reinhart-Gymnasium and the Fachakademie für Sozialpädagogik (FAKS) .
