Vysotsk (Ukrainian Висоцьк ; Russian Высоцк , Polish Wysock ) is a village in Rajon Dubrovytsia the western Ukraine in the Rivne Oblast .

The village is located about 18 kilometers northeast of the Rajons capital Dubrowyzja and 145 kilometers northeast of the Oblast capital Rivne on the river Horyn near the northern border with Belarus .
On April 26, 2016, the village became the center of the newly established rural community Vysotsk (Висоцька сільська громада / Vysotska silska hromada ). At that includes also the 6 villages Chylin (Хилін) Ljudyn (Людинь) Partysanske (Партизанське) Rudnia (Рудня) Solote (Золоте) and Werbiwka (Вербівка), until then formed the village along with the villages Chylin and Werbiwka the district council of the same name.
history
The village was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1005 and was part of the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania in the Voivodeship of Volyn until 1795 . Then it came to the newly founded Volhynia Governorate as part of the Russian Empire . After the end of the First World War the place became part of the Second Polish Republic ( Voivodeship Polesien , Powiat Stolin, Gmina Wysock), after the outbreak of the Second World War the area was occupied by the Soviet Union and from 1941 by Germany . In 1945 it finally came to the Soviet Union and was incorporated into the Ukrainian SSR , in 1991 it finally became part of today's Ukraine.
Between 1940 and 1959 Vysotsk was the capital of the Vysotsk Rajons , which is now divided between the Dubrowytsia and Saritschne Rajons .
