Xaver Bittl

Xaver Bittl (born January 6, 1943 in Sappenfeld ) is a German politician ( CSU ).

Career

Bittl graduated from the Willibald Gymnasium in Eichstätt and studied agricultural science with a focus on economics. He passed the diploma examination at the Technical University of Munich in Weihenstephan , then was a trainee lawyer and passed the state examination. He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Applied Agricultural Management in Weihenstephan with a doctorate. Since then he has worked as an agricultural consultant and teacher in the agricultural civil service at various offices in Bavaria and the management academy in Munich, most recently he was head of the Office for Agriculture and Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Ingolstadt .

In 1984 Bittl became a member of the Eichstätt district council, where he was spokesman for the CSU parliamentary group from 1984 to 1992. From 1983 to 1989 he was deputy CSU local chairman in Eichstätt, and in 1989 he became chairman of the CSU district association Eichstätt. From 1990 to April 30, 1996 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament , after which he became District Administrator of the Eichstätt district . He held this office until 2008.

He is a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Isaria Freising .
