Xavier Florencio
Xavier Florencio Cabré (born December 26, 1979 in Mont-roig del Camp , Tarragona province ) is a former Spanish cyclist .
Florencio started road cycling in 1994 at the age of 14. In 2001 he signed his first contract with the Spanish ONCE team. He drove there until the end of the 2003 season and then switched to Relax-GAM Fuenlabrada for two years . From 2006 the Spaniard was under contract with Bouygues Télécom . In addition to the Spanish junior road racing championship in 1996, he won the elite category in 2002 on the eighth stage of the Tour de l'Avenir . He celebrated the greatest success of his career in the 2006 season when he surprisingly won the Spanish one-day race Clásica San Sebastián , which is part of the UCI ProTour .
At the end of the 2013 season he ended his career as a professional cyclist.
