Xiangshui ( Chinese 响 水镇 , Pinyin Xiǎngshuǐ zhèn ) is a large community in the southwest of the People's Republic of China . It belongs to the administrative area of Longzhou County , which in turn is subordinate to the prefecture -level city of Chongzuo in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region . Xiangshui Municipality administers an area of 206 square kilometers with a total population of 14,482 people in 2015. The 2000 population census showed a total population of 15,295 people in 3,760 households, of whom 7,869 men and 7,426 women. The population consists mainly of Zhuang and Han .
Xiangshui is in the east of Longzhou County and borders Vietnam in the west . In the east it borders the municipality Jiangzhou , in the west on the community Zhubu , in the south on the community Shangjin and the circle Ningming and north to the county Daxin . The relief is mountainous and slopes from west to east. The most important mountain in Xiangshui is the Qi Shan , the most important rivers are the Zuo Jiang and the Heishui He . Xiangshui has 2000 hectares of arable land and a mild subtropical climate with sufficient rainfall and hours of sunshine with an average annual temperature of around 21 ° C. In Shuikou, sugar cane , wet rice , corn and fruit such as orange ruts are mainly grown. Shuikou's main industries are in the food industry. Due to its location on the Chongzuo- Shuikou, Xianshui-Taiping highway and its educational and medical infrastructure, Shuikou is of regional importance. The waterfalls (Xiangshui Waterfall and Hongshan Waterfall) are interesting for visitors.
Xiangshui was established as a community in 1984 after the people's communes were dissolved , and in 1992 it was transformed into a large community. As of 2018, Xiangshui is divided into a residents' committee and nine villages at village level :
- Xinjie Residents Committee (新 街 居委会)
- Villages Xiangshui (响 水 村), Pingnan (平 南村), Longjiang (龙江 村), Tuqiang (图强 村), Hongyang (红 阳 村), Mianjiang (棉 江村), Gaofeng (高峰 村), Siqing (四 清村), Mingfeng (鸣凤 村).
