history

The band was founded in 1988 under the name Repulse after the members had heard some demo recordings by singer Janitor "Joãnitor" Mustasch. After the band had developed a few songs, the EP Fata Morgana followed in 1990, which was followed by the debut album Yeah in 1991 . In addition to Muschtasch, the band consisted of the guitarist Olli Nurminen, the bassist Vesa Litti and the drummer Teppo Pulli. Then came out in 1993 and 1995 with First & Magical and Deluxe the next two albums. In 1998 the band released the EP Singles , which was followed by the last album Girl on the Beach . In 1998 the band broke up again. The band has been active again since 2011. In summer 2013 the band played at the Ruisrock Festival.

style

In their early days, the band was heavily influenced by grindcore bands such as Napalm Death , Sore Throat and Carcass . In addition, the band also incorporated influences from Death Metal. On First & Magical the band played Death Metal comparable to the works of Carcass and Paradise Lost . With the album Deluxe , the band turned completely away from death metal and played rock music that was reminiscent of garage rock of the 1960s. On the lottery , the band made use of various rock genres: In addition to sound similarities to Ministry's industrial rock album Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs , the band made use of alternative , funk , grunge and psychedelic -Skirt .
