In parallel to his football training, he graduated from high school and did a voluntary social year in the 1899 ACADEMY .

On March 27, 2013 Thermann made his debut for the Hoffenheim U23 team in the Regionalliga Südwest when he was in the starting line-up in the game against TuS Koblenz . By June 2016 Thermann had played a total of 78 games for the TSG regional league team and scored eleven goals.

In July 2016 Thermann switched to the Stuttgarter Kickers, who had just been relegated to the regional league .
