history

The history of the village goes back to 1500 BC. When the ancient city of Pisye was founded. The word probably goes back to the Luwian term pissuwa . Until 1961 the official name was Pisiköy (Eng. Dirty village). However, this was changed to Yeşilyurt because of the incorrect meaning.
