Yell is one of the northern islands of the Shetland Islands off Scotland . It has an area of ​​216.1 km 2 . In 2011, 966 people lived here.

Ferries run from Ulsta on the island to Toft on Mainland and from Gutcher on Yell to Belmont on Unst and to Oddsta on Fetlar . Other locations on Yell include Burravoe, home of the Old Haa Museum, Mid Yell, Cullivoe, and Gloup.

Seabirds such as skuas and red-throated divers , otters and merlins also live on the coast of Yell .
