Uyea is a 45 hectare uninhabited tidal island belonging to the Shetlands in Scotland . It is located northwest of Mainland Island in the North Atlantic . Near the west coast, the island reaches its greatest height of 70 meters. The greatest extent is 980 m in length and 530 m in width.
On the island is the Neolithic Beorgs quarry of Uyea . Uyea should not be confused with the Shetland Island of the same name on the south coast of Unst.
