Uyea is a 205 hectare formerly inhabited island belonging to the Shetlands in Scotland . It is located south of the island of Unst and the place Uyeasound in the North Sea , and belongs to the Civil parish Unst.

For the 1871 and 1881 census, 9 and 5 residents were counted on Uyea.

The Scottish politician Basil Neven-Spence (1888–1974) lived in a property on the island.

Uyea should not be confused with the island of the same name on the north coast of Mainland, on which the Neolithic Beorgs quarry of Uyea is located.
