Yohann Bagot (born September 6, 1987 in Salon-de-Provence ) is a former French road cyclist . He was a professional from 2011 to 2019.
education
He studied biology until 2008, then decided to devote himself entirely to cycling.
Athletic career
In his youth, he devoted himself to athletics before joining cycling at the age of 17. From 2007 he drove for the French amateur team VC La Pomme Marseille and was in 2007 until he switched to the professional camp for Team Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne in 2011 . In his first season as a professional he took part in the Vuelta , which he finished 116th overall. In 2012 he took part again, but was unable to take part in the 8th stage due to a fractured elbow that he suffered during the 7th stage. In the Tour of Turkey 2013 he finished second in the 6th stage and was declared the stage winner after the disqualification of the Turkish driver Mustafa Sayar and finished second in the overall standings 3 seconds behind Eritrean Natnael Berhane . Later that year he took part in the Tour de France 2013 , retired after the 3rd stage due to digestive problems. In 2015 he was ranked 4th at the Tour du Gévaudan Languedoc-Roussillon , 7th place in the Tour of Luxembourg and 10th place in the Tour du Haut Var . In the following two years he reached 5th place in La Méditerranéenne in 2016 , 10th place in Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour and in 2017 again 5th place in Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour. In 2018 he switched to the Vital Concept Cycling Club team and ended his professional career in this team in 2019.
