history
The city of Yoshinogawa was formed on October 1, 2004 from the former parishes of Kamojima ( 鴨 島 町 , -chō ), Kawashima ( 川島 町 , -chō ), Yamakawa ( 山川 町 , -chō ) and the village of Misato ( 美 郷 村 , -mura ) of the district of Oe .
