The Ysopblättrige member herb ( Sideritis hyssopifolia ) is a plant type from the genus sideritis ( Sideritis ) in the family of Labiatae (Lamiaceae).
description
The hyssop-leaved limb is a perennial plant that grows up to 40 (rarely up to 80) cm in height and is hairy with bald to tomentose hair. The leaves are 5 to 35 mm long and 2 to 10 mm wide. They are linear to ovoid or vice versa ovoid or vice versa lanceolate to conversely spatulate. Their margin is entire, weakly toothed or notched. The leaves are sessile or have a short stalk.
The inflorescences are in 5–15 pseudo whorls in dense spikes and usually consist of six flowers . The calyx is 6 to 8 mm long and has a ring of trichomes on the inside. The crown is about 10 mm long, is yellow in color and occasionally covered with purple.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 30.
Occurrence and locations
The species occurs in south-west Europe and is often found in mountains, in the north-east its range extends to the Swiss Jura . The entire distribution area extends from Spain, France, Italy and Sicily to Switzerland. It likes to grow in rocky locations on limestone, in forests and on meadows.
