(1554) Yugoslavia is an asteroid in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter . It was discovered on September 6, 1940 by the Serbian astronomer Milorad B. Protić and named by him after the then Kingdom of Yugoslavia . Its exact composition is not known, which is why it was not typed. The eccentricity of its orbit is 0.202.
