Yuliya Naiditsch (* October 20, 1994 as Julija Schwajger , Ukrainian Юлія Швайгер , English transcription: Yuliya Shvayger in Vinnytsia , Ukraine ) is an Israeli chess player of Ukrainian origin who has been playing for the Israeli Chess Federation since March 2012.

Life

Yuliya Shvayger attended Mevo'ot Hanegev High School on Kibbutz Shoval after moving to Israel . Since October 2014 she is married to the chess grandmaster Arkadij Naiditsch .

successes

In March 2008 she won the Ukrainian U16 female youth championship in Odessa and the Ukrainian U18 female youth championship in Kiev in February 2010 . In December 2018 Naiditsch won the Israeli women's championship in Ma'alot . At the Grenke Chess Open A in April 2019, Yuliya Shvayger was best woman.

For the Israeli women's national team, she has taken part in all chess Olympiads since 2012 , playing on the reserve board in Istanbul in 2012 , on the second board in Tromsø in 2014 , on the first board in 2016 in Baku and in Batumi in 2018 . At the European Women's Team Championship in Warsaw in 2013 , she had the third-best result of all players on the fourth board behind Anne Haast and Bela Chotenashvili , at the European Team Championships in 2017 and 2019 she played on the top board of the Israeli women's team.

She is a member of the Association of Chess Professionals (ACP). Her club in Israel is the Be'er Scheva Chess Club , with which she also took part in the European Women's Club Cup 2018. In Germany, Naiditsch has been playing for SF Deizisau since 2014, initially in the Oberliga Württemberg and since the 2015/16 season in the women's Bundesliga. In the Chinese team championship, she played for the Chengdu team in 2017 and for the Shenzhen-Longgang team in 2018. In the Spanish team championship in 2017 Naiditsch played for Gros Xake Taldea , in the French top 12 women in 2019 for Stanislas Echecs from Nancy .

Yuliya Naiditsch has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) since May 2013. The norms for this she all achieved with over-fulfillment: at the Chess Olympiad 2012, the Israeli team championship 2013 as well as the 29th Open in Cappelle-la-Grande in March 2013. In March 2016, the title of Grandmaster of Women (WGM) was requested for her with fulfilled Norms at the ZMD-Open in Dresden in August 2013, at the European Women's Team Championship in November 2013, at the 30th Cappelle-la-Grande-Open in March 2014 and in Gibraltar in February 2016. The title could not be awarded to her until 2017. In October 2017 Naiditsch was awarded the title of International Master (IM), she fulfilled the required standards in June 2016 at the European Women's Championship in Mamaia , in October 2016 at the Chess.com Isle of Man International Masters in Douglas and in February 2017 at Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival.

She heads the Israeli women's Elo ranking.
