The Yvel (in the upper reaches: Hivet ) is a river in France that runs in the Brittany region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Vran , drains first to the southeast, later turns to the southwest, forms the reservoir Étang au Duc and flows after 58 kilometers just southwest of Ploërmel as a left tributary into the Ninian . On its way, the Yvel crosses the Côtes-d'Armor and Morbihan departments .
