Yvette Wray

Yvette Wray ( Yvette Julie Wray, married Luker; born October 18, 1958 in Scraptoft , Leicestershire ) is a former British pentathlete , hurdler and sprinter .

In 1978 she won silver in the pentathlon for England at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton . At the European Athletics Championships in Prague she came in 13th place.

In the pentathlon at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, she finished 16th.

In 1982 she was eliminated from the European Championships in Athens over 400 m hurdles in the preliminary run. At the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane , she won bronze in the 400 m hurdles and came fourth with the English team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In 1986 she was fifth over 400 m hurdles at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and failed in the first round at the European Championships in Stuttgart .

In 1983, 1985 and 1986 she was English champion in over 400 m hurdles and in 1986 British champion, in 1978 she was English champion in pentathlon and over 60 m hurdles from 1980 to 1982 three times in a row English indoor champion.
