Yvonne Lacina

Yvonne Lacina (born June 5, 1977 ) is an Austrian journalist and television presenter who has been with ORF since 1997 .

life and career

During her studies in journalism and political science at the University of Vienna , Lacina, who had previously attended the commercial academy in Laa an der Thaya , began an internship at the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, where she quickly brought her interest in TV news to the ZiB . Initially only at the operations desk at ZiB , the young journalist got increasingly involved over the years. For example, she shot various episodes of the Am Schauplatz series of reports with Robert Gordon, who has already won various awards, and at the same time worked as a reporter and editor for Zeit im Bild and the parliamentary magazine Hohes Haus until 2007 . Afterwards Lacina, who, although the name is identical, is not related to the former Austrian Finance Minister Ferdinand Lacina , mainly worked for the ZiB Chronicle. Her activities there included various missions abroad, such as after the earthquake in L'Aquila in 2009 or shortly after the revolution in Egypt in 2011 . During the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 , she reported live from Vienna-Schwechat Airport for days and was also involved in other ZiB work. In addition, she designed many social reports in Austria today , as well as numerous animal stories, including her own series The Schönbrunn Zoo and the Keepers . She has also reported live and in reports from the Life Ball and the Vienna Opera Ball for ORF for the past three years (2010 to 2012) .

On December 19, 2011, the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation announced that Lacina will be appointed as the new ZiB Flash presenter from January 11, 2012 and will act as maternity leave replacement for Christiane Wassertheurer , who took half a year off to be with her husband and son to travel. In addition to this activity, Lacina continues to work as an editor and “ CvD for ORF 1 ”. When ZiB Flash from Vienna acts since then alternating with their colleagues Claudia Unterweger and Matthias Euba .
