Yxng Bane

Yxng Bane (born April 12, 1996 in London as Guystone Mbozo Menga ) is an English dancehall and grime rapper.

biography

Guystone Menga was born in London and has African roots (Congo and Angola). He chose his rapper name Yxng Bane (pronounced "Young Bane") after the villain Bane from The Dark Knight Rises . He gained first notoriety from 2015 through his publications on the music platform SoundCloud . Initially he showed himself with a special face mask. In 2016 he had his first hit with Fine Wine together with Kojo Funds . Tinie Tempah became aware of him and took him on to his label Disturbing London . In the summer of 2017, he stepped into the limelight when he was first heard on the top 10 hit Bestie by Yungen and shortly afterwards followed by his own top 40 hit with the song Rihanna . By the end of the year, all three publications had achieved silver or gold awards.

In early 2018, he was added to the expanded list of Sound of 2018 , the BBC's survey of the stars of the coming year. In March, his single Vroom and the single Answerphone by Ella Eyre and the Canadian producers Banx & Ranx , in which he participated , appeared simultaneously . Both songs were successful in the charts, Answerphone even reached number 5. In the summer, the first album came out, the collaboration album Any Minute Now with D-Block Europe , which came to number 14. The first solo album HBK in late autumn, on the other hand, only reached number 36. 2019 was a little quieter with a few releases, the most successful was the top 20 single How It Is together with Roddy Ricch and Chip . In May 2020 he reported back with the album Quarantime - The Lost Files , with which he barely missed the top 10 of the album charts.
