Zückshut is a district of the municipality of Breitengüßbach in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg with around 360 inhabitants.

The place is on the district road BA 16. Neighboring places are in the northeast Hohengüßbach (municipality Breitengüßbach), in the southwest Laubend (municipality Memmelsdorf ), in the south Gundelsheim , in the southwest Kemmern and in the west Breitengüßbach and Unteroberndorf .

The village is bordered by the Zückshuter Forest , a 5.78 km² community-free area in the Bamberg district.

history

From 1806 to 1813 the villages of Zückshut and Laubend formed the municipality of Zückshut as a result of the administrative reform. From May 1, 1949 Laubend belonged to the municipality of Merkendorf. Since May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality of Zückshut has belonged to the municipality of Breitengüßbach.

church

The church was built in 1772 and destroyed by a lightning strike in 1926, then rebuilt and sold to the municipality of Breitengüßbach in 1943. In 2006 the church was renovated.
