Minnesota Vikings

In the 2013 NFL Draft , Line was initially ignored. Despite impressive performance in college, he was able to equalize the touchdown school record of Eric Dickerson , he was considered by experts to be too slow. He was then signed by the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent . His professional career got off to a slow start at first. In his rookie season he only ran three times and only managed to catch a pass. In the following season it was used only once.
In the 2015 season he was called up several times, and although he mainly acted as a pre-blocker, mostly for Adrian Peterson , he was able to score his first three touchdowns himself. 2016 was similar, but Line was left without a score.

New Orleans Saints

In August 2017 he was signed by the New Orleans Saints , but released before the start of the regular season . After the veteran John Kuhn missed the rest of the season due to injury, Line was signed again. Through his block work, he had a large share in the greatly improved running game of the Saints and helped to enable the outstanding performances of Mark Ingram junior and Alvin Kamara .

In April 2018, the Saints extended his contract for another two years.

On January 15, 2020, Line announced his retirement.
