John Allen Kuhn (* 9. September 1982 in Dover , Pennsylvania ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the full backs . Kuhn played college football for Shippensburg University and joined the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2005 as an undrafted free agent in the National Football League (NFL). John Kuhn won the Super Bowl twice . His first win was in Super Bowl XL as a reservist for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He won against the Steelers in 2010 with the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl XLV . In 2012 he was nominated for the Pro Bowl as a fullback in the National Football Conference (NFC) squad. Most recently he was under contract with the New Orleans Saints .

Family and early beginnings

John Kuhn was born to John Kuhn and Patti Duffy. At Dover Area High School in York County , Pennsylvania, he played football, baseball , basketball and was a runner on the track and field team.

college

Kuhn played college football for the Red Raiders , the Shippensburg University team . John Kuhn holds 27 school records and six All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) records. He finished his college career with 4,685 yards in the run game , 910 runs, 53 touchdowns , 5,300 yards, and 26 games with at least 100 yards in the run game.

Kuhn has been a member of the Shippensburg University Hall of Fame since 2013 .

NFL

On April 29, 2005, Kuhn was committed by the Pittsburgh Steelers and was part of the team in the 21:10 victory in the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks . However, he was not used in any game during the season and was also inactive in Super Bowl XL . In the following season he was able to play his first games for the Steelers.

On September 1, 2007, Kuhn was released from his contract by the Steelers and signed a day later by the Green Bay Packers . In 2008 Kuhn was able to achieve his first two NFL touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints . In 2010 he celebrated his second Super Bowl victory. Kuhn and the Packers won the Super Bowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After the 2013 season, Kuhn was a free agent , but was again equipped with a contract by the Green Bay Packers on April 3, 2014.

On August 5, 2016, the New Orleans Saints signed him after their fullback Austin Johnson suffered a serious knee injury. 2016 Kuhn had a very successful season with a total of 5 touchdowns. In 2017, however, he was only able to play two games due to an arm injury before he was placed on the Injured Reserve List . After this season, his contract was not extended.

On March 6, 2019, he announced his retirement from professional sport.

John Kuhn is married to Lindsey Incorvati and they met at Shippensburg University.
