Thomas John "TJ" Lang (* 20th September 1987 in Royal Oak , Michigan ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions as an offensive guard .

college

Lang attended Eastern Michigan University and successfully played college football for their team, the Eagles . He started on the defensive line , but was used from the second season in the offense , both on the right and on the left.

Lang was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft as the 109th player. In his rookie season he was used in all games, but only three times as a starter . In 2010 he was only a substitute. This season he was able to win the Super Bowl XLV with his team . He has been a fixture in the packer's offensive line since 2011. In 2012, he signed a four-year contract for $ 20.8 million. In 2016 he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time .

Detroit Lions

On March 12, Lang signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Lions . He started 13 games for the Lions and was called to the Pro Bowl for good performance. In 2018 he played only six games due to injury. On March 8, 2019, Lang was released, adding 8.8 million cap space to the Lions . On March 29, 2019, he announced his retirement from professional sport.
