Erik Walden Lashawn (* 21st August 1985 in Dublin , Georgia ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL) on the position of Outside linebackers . With the Green Bay Packers he won the Super Bowl XLV . He was also under contract with the Dallas Cowboys , the Kansas City Chiefs , the Miami Dolphins , the Indianapolis Colts , the Tennessee Titans and the Seattle Seahawks .

college

Walden, who also showed strong performances as a track and field athlete and basketball player in high school , attended Middle Tennessee State University and played for their team, the Blue Raiders, from 2004 to 2007 as defensive end college football . In a total of 44 games, he was able to set 152 tackles . His 22.5 sacks mean a school record to date (2016).

NFL

Dallas Cowboys

In the 2008 NFL Draft , Walden was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round as a total of 167 players, but was dismissed before the start of the season.

Kansas City Chiefs

Walden was committed by the Kansas City Chiefs and was used in nine games in the special teams before he was released again here.

Miami Dolphins

He came under with the Miami Dolphins and played six games in the special teams. In the 2009 season he played eleven games for the Dolphins. In 2010 he was fired after three games.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers signed Walden as a free agent and also offered him as a linebacker . In this position he also played three games of the play-offs , at the Super Bowl XLV , which the Packers won against the Pittsburgh Steelers , but he had to pass due to injury. In 2011 he was called up in all 16 games, 15 times as a starter . In the game against the Oakland Raiders he managed a touchdown .

Indianapolis Colts

After another season for the Packers, he signed a four-year contract worth $ 16 million with the Indianapolis Colts in March 2013 . That same year he was suspended from the league for a game because of a headbutt against Delanie Walker .

In the 2016 season he set a personal record with eleven sacks.

Tennessee Titans

In July 2017, Walden joined the Tennessee Titans. There he ran in two games as a starter and scored four sacks.

Seattle Seahawks

In August 2018, the Seattle Seahawks signed Walden. He was put on the Injured Reserve List at the beginning of the season and released after a few days.
