Mark Gerald exchanger (* 17th June 1977 in Marshfield , Wisconsin ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of offensive tackles . He played college football at the University of Wisconsin – Madison . In the 2000 NFL Draft , the Green Bay Packers voted him in the seventh round and he played for them his entire career until 2010 in the National Football League (NFL).

Tauscher played football, basketball, and baseball at Auburndale High School in Wisconsin.

college

Tauscher played at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in college . After getting little playing time in the first two years, Tauscher became a starter in the 1999 season and, as a blocker, helped his team-mate Ron Dayne to win the Heisman Trophy .

Professional career

In the 2000 NFL Draft , Tauscher was drafted in the seventh round by the Green Bay Packers with the 224th pick. He was already a starter in his rookie season when veteran Earl Dotson sustained a serious back injury. Since then, Tauscher has been the starter at the packers' right tackle position. During that time he played nearly six seasons without a holding penalty.

Tauscher was valued as a very good and consistent player. He was one of the players on the Packers Offensive Line who were able to move into the play-offs several times between 2000 and 2007 with quarterback Brett Favre . In 2002, Tauscher had to suspend the entire further round of the game due to a serious injury he suffered in the second game of the season. In the 2003 game year, however, he was able to establish himself again as a starter. Until the 13th matchday of the 2008 season, he did not miss another game of his team. After an injury sustained on Matchday 13, he was sidelined for the rest of the season. In the 2010 season he won Super Bowl XLV with the Packers .

He was fired from the Green Bay Packers on July 29, 2011, and retired from his career.
